Hi, I’m Charley.
In 2019 I started Plot Joinery with two goals:
- Build a brand
- Do it through high-end, residential joinery
I wanted to build a brand because, with brand, magical things happen.
And I chose to do it through joinery because:
- It’s beautiful + fulfilling
- I’d been exposed to my Dad’s cabinet making business, so it was lower friction than starting a hedge fund or something
In the early days, the product often fell short. We had pure intent, and we always got there in the end, but there was still a lot to learn.
From no factory, we sublet a small space. From the small space, we moved to a small factory. And three years in, we moved to where we are now - I’d say it’s a medium factory.
Over the years, we have refined our product and won the trust of builders and architects who demand excellence. We hope to keep earning that trust, and maybe yours.
